It’s actually great, if you get it from the right source.


Sugar from fruits come with nutritional value and aids in digestion.

Sugars to lookout for (avoid)

Added sugar, which are the type found in sodas, candies, and other processed foods, have been shown to contribute to cardiovascular disease, cancer, and tooth cavity…

❌ High fructose corn syrup (sweetener)

❌ Cane sugar or cane juice

❌ Maltose

❌ Dextrose

❌ Invert sugar

❌ Rice syrup

❌ Molasses

❌ Caramel

Processed sugars lack nutritional value, are empty calories high in energy, which will be stored as fat if you don’t use it. They are also linked to higher levels of depression.

👍 Golden rules of thumb:

Eat more whole foods, and increase your protein intake

What are whole foods? 

Simply put, whole foods are foods that are not processed at all, or minimally processed. Examples include whole grains, legumes, fresh fruits and vegetables.
